Staff at West Lincoln Memorial Hospital are hoping to fill a crib with cheer for local families.
For the second straight year, the hospital’s workplace wellness committee has organized a “fill the crib” food and toy drive for the Grimsby Benevolent Fund. Community members are invited to drop off a new, unwrapped toy or canned goods in the crib in the hospital lobby. All toys and food collected in the drive will be donated to the Grimsby Benevolent Fund’s Christmas hamper program.
The drive kicked off Nov. 22 and continues until Thursday, Dec. 12.
Last year, the campaign brought in nearly 480 pounds of food as well as four shopping carts of toys.
The GBF is especially in need of gifts for teenagers.
