Accommodation Aid for Low-Income Households

There are times when individuals and families find difficulty in making ends meet. As a solution, GBF Community Services facilitate programs that secure your housing needs through financial assistance.

How We Can Help

Low-Income Energy Assistance Program (LEAP)

Individuals who are experiencing difficulties with paying their hydro or gas bills may be eligible for this program. We are one of the lead agencies in facilitating this project.

Rent Assistance

This is an income supplement that secures the monthly financial needs of eligible, low-income households. Through this, we ensure that individuals receive assistance with their monthly rent. We also make sure that the aid is paid in the private market.

Eligibility

You are eligible for assistance if you meet the following criteria:

  • You are categorized as Low-Income (or less) for your gross Annual Income Tax Return.

  • 30% of your household income is paid to your rent.

  • You reside in Grimsby, ON.

  • You are a GBF Community Services client.

If you meet the following, you are not qualified to participate in our programs:

  • Your gross household annual income is more than “Low Income” status.

  • You live in subsidized housing.

  • You do not meet the program’s residency requirements.
